Customized CH-70 hydraulic puncher with double acting hydraulic system
The Challenge
A client approached us with a specific challenge. They already owned a double acting electric motor hydraulic pump in their workshop. Their goal was to use this existing power pack to operate a CH-70 hole puncher. However, the well-known standard CH-70 model operates on a single-acting hydraulic system. Purchasing a new, separate single-acting pump would have incurred unnecessary additional costs, which the client wanted to avoid.
The Solution
To help the client save on capital expenditure, our engineering team proposed a cost-effective retrofit solution. We took the standard, single-acting CH-70 punching machine and upgraded its hydraulic system to a double-acting configuration.
The Result
The modification was a complete success. By converting the machine, the client was able to utilize their original dual-circuit electric hydraulic pump without any issues. This allowed them to complete their hole punching operations seamlessly while successfully controlling their budget and avoiding the expense of new equipment.
